Artemis II crew to join Gayle King for 'CBS Mornings' town hall
April 29 (UPI) -- The Artemis II crew will join Gayle King and Tony Dokoupil for a special edition of CBS Mornings.
The Artemis II astronauts -- Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen -- will discuss their historic flyby mission to the moon in a "Things That Matter" town hall May 1 on CBS Mornings.
Apollo 13 director Ron Howard, Bill Nye "The Science Guy" and 5-year-old aspiring astronaut Jack will also take part in the event, which will see the crew field questions from students.
CBS Mornings Presents: Artemis II A Celebration of Heroes will air May 1 at 7:30 a.m. ET on CBS and also stream on Paramount+. The special will air again May 2 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS News 24/7.
The Artemis II crew safely returned to Earth April 10 after a successful journey around the moon. The operation was the first crewed mission to the moon in over 50 years.
