New healthy fast-food restaurant opens in Meridian
New healthy fast-food restaurant The Flame Broiler is celebrating its grand opening on Thursday, June 22. The new eatery, at 1735 W. Chinden Blvd. in Meridian, specializes in on-the-go rice bowls.
Ingredients to choose from include chicken, Angus beef and charbroiled tofu, or you can choose the option to go half-and-half with any combination of proteins served over white or brown rice. Add freshly blanched vegetables and a topper of chopped green onions to any bowl.
Sizes include a mini bowl ($5), a regular bowl ($7) and the plate option ($10), which includes the choice of a side: cabbage salad with an Asian sesame dressing, an orange or a combination of both.
The restaurant also flaunts an array of sauces, including its signature sauces — hot sauce, Magic Sauce and hot, hot sauce, which can be used for an extra kick. You can check out all the nutritional information FlameBroilerUSA.com.
The Orange County, Calif.-based franchise restaurant is locally owned by Bill and Kim Wittkopf and opened on June 7. It’s celebrating its grand opening Thursday by offering a buy-one-get-one free promotion.
“... I know that once customers are able to try it for themselves, they will fall in love with the brand like Bill and I did. I’m really looking forward to watching the concept grow and flourish within our community,” Kim Wittkopf said.
The restaurant is open 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
