Sharks invade the Discovery Center of Idaho this summer with a new traveling exhibit
The Discovery Center has been on a roll this year by adding more traveling shows to its mix of locally created, hands-on STEM-based science exhibits.
Earlier this year, “A T.rex Named Sue,” a traveling exhibit from the Field Museum in Chicago, brought 61,000 into the center with kid programs such as school tours and regular visits, adult programming, such as “Brew with Sue” beer nights.
After that success, Executive Director Eric Miller is turning the center’s sights to one of today’s most feared creatures.
“Planet Shark: Predator or Prey” will open Saturday, June 10. The center’s in-house exhibit “H2Woah” explores the science of water and will open on Friday, June 23.
