Take a walk (or run) with 10,000 of your fittest friends at FitOne, formerly the Women’s Fitness Celebration. The event brings people of all ages and abilities together for competitive and noncompetitive walking and running events, including competitive and noncompetitive stroller waves for moms and dads.

▪  The weekend kicks off with the interactive FitOne Expo. You can pick up your packet or register. There will be free health screenings, tips on healthy cooking and eating, a climbing wall, drop-in fitness classes and ways to get your kids moving.

Noon to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, Boise Centre, 850 W. Front St., Boise. 381-2221. Free.

▪  Then hit the streets with the run, walk or stroll of your choice — 5k, 10k and half marathon (and their various waves) on Saturday, Sept. 24. Registration is still open for all races: $30 for 5K, $50 for 10K and half marathon, $20, $25 and $35 for ages 13 to 17. Kids 12 and younger are free with a paying adult for the 5K and fun runs. Sign up at FitOneBoise.org. Note: Registration goes up $10 and ends for the 10K and half marathon on Monday, Sept. 19.

Saturday, Sept. 24. Waves take off from Capitol Boulevard and Bannock. Check your registration for details on wave starting times. Day-of registration for the 5k starts at 6:30 a.m.
