Bogus Basin ski area opens full time; entire mountain open Sunday

Colder weather and recent snowfall prompted Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area to begin seven-day-a-week operations starting Saturday.

The Deer Point, Morningstar, Coach and Easy Rider lifts will be open Saturday with groomed and ungroomed runs and a few early-season thin spots, according to a Bogus Basin release.

The ski area reduced single-day lift tickets to $35 until more lifts are opened.

Starting Sunday, the entire mountain will be open. The mountain is expected to see 2 feet of snow fall over the weekend, according to a Bogus Basin release.

The first session of ski and snowboard lessons will progress as scheduled.

For cross-country skiers, the Nordic Highway to Mores Mountain Extension and Shafer Butte Campground, Sappers Return and Red Tail will be open.
