Letter: Nurse navigator

Three weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Wow. In the time since, doctor visits, surgery and aftercare have been a whirlwind. My nurse navigator, Jean, was such a tremendous support. Guiding me on a journey I never thought I would travel. She had a tremendous effect on how I traveled this journey and on my health care. I will never be able to put into words the time and care (even stopping into see me before my surgery) that Jean gave me. A simple thank you is not enough.

Do navigators actually help? Quoted from the Idaho Statesman. “Yes,Yes, Yes.”
