Caldwell woman shot during home invasion, police say
A 21-year-old woman was shot once in the upper arm Friday night when three men forced their way into a home in the 1200 block of Fillmore Street, Caldwell police report.
According to initial reports, the woman was shot shortly after the men forced the home’s door open, and they left in a car after the shooting, which was reported about 7:20 p.m.
The three men were at large late Friday night, but Caldwell Police Capt. Devin Riley said, “at this time, we don’t think that there is any danger to the general public.”
The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening, Riley said.
Police did not release descriptions of the intruders or their vehicle.
Officers are searching for the intruders, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS or Caldwell police at 454-7531.
