Idaho City schools closed Monday

Schools in Idaho City are closed Monday because of weather and icy roads.

Power outages were also reported in the Highway 21 area on Sunday, though most were cleared by Monday.

The wet system that pushed through the valley over the weekend may be the last bit of rain the Boise area sees until Wednesday, but temperatures will fall.

The high Monday is predicted to be 38 degrees with a low of 23 degrees. Tuesday could be colder with a high of 34 degrees and a low of 21 degrees.

Bogus Basin welcomed fresh snow over the weekend. The ski resort opened all of its lifts full time Sunday. They have seen 58 inches of snow this season, and the base is at 38 inches, as of Monday morning.
