BASEBALL

Tanner Woolsey, Vallivue: The senior, who is committed to Walla Walla Community College, had a strong outing on the mound in an 11-0 win over Columbia in 5A Southern Idaho Conference play. Woolsey pitched seven innings, allowing just two hits, no runs, one walk and 13 strikeouts.

SOFTBALL

Lainey Lyle, Middleton: The freshman pitched a pair of shutouts last week in a 20-0, five-inning win over Mountain Home (no-hitter) and a 1-0 victory against Skyview. In the two games, Lyle combined for 26 strikeouts with no walks while allowing just one total hit.

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

Lita Forse, Caldwell: The junior dominated the shot put at the Probst-Walker Invitational at Emmett High, winning with a toss of 45 feet, 5.5 inches, which is a school record. The throw also ranks Forse No. 13 in the nation this season, according to athletic.net.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD

Michael Slagowski, Rocky Mountain: The senior won the 800 meters in 1 minute, 48.70 seconds at the Pulse Invitational at Centennial High. His time ranks No. 1 in the nation this season, according to athletic.net.

GIRLS TENNIS

Skylar Schossberger, Eagle: The senior, who is committed to Middlebury College, swept both her No. 1 singles matches last week in 5A Southern Idaho Conference play. Schossberger defeated Mountain View’s Riley Clayeux (6-4, 6-2) and Centennial’s Ellie Gamble (6-0, 6-0).

BOYS TENNIS

Kyle Gonelli, Nampa: In two 5A Southern Idaho Conference matches last week, Gonelli took down Centennial’s Kutter Hine (6-1, 6-1) and Vallivue’s Beau Maimer (6-3, 6-1) to help the Bulldogs win both their matches.

GIRLS GOLF

Katie Cudworth, Timberline: The senior earned medalist honors at the Eagle Invitational at Eagle Hills Golf Course, shooting a 77 to help the Wolves finish second as a team.

BOYS GOLF

Carson Barry, Rocky Mountain: With his round of 70 at Eagle Hills Golf Course, Barry finished first at the Eagle Invitational by three strokes.
