Borah, Centennial tied atop 5A boys basketball poll

With one week left in the regular season, the 5A race isn’t getting any clearer.

No. 2 Centennial completed the regular-season sweep of unanimous No. 1 Borah on Thursday. But then the Patriots fell to Rocky Mountain on Friday, leaving the Lions and Patriots to split the No. 1 ranking in the latest boys basketball state media poll released Tuesday.

Rocky Mountain dropped out of the top five with a loss to Capital on Wednesday. The only other Treasure Valley team to make a move this week is Cascade, which entered the 1A Division II poll.
