Tori Williams, Centennial: The Patriots secured a spot in the 5A state tournament for the second year in a row with two wins in the district tournament last week. Williams, a junior guard, led the Patriots in scoring both games with a combination of 3-point accuracy and slashing moves to the hoop. Williams had 15 points and two assists in a 64-29 first-round win over Rocky Mountain, and she added a 11 points, five rebounds, three steals and an assist as Centennial beat Eagle 44-26 in the semifinals.

Paul Pennington, Boise: The Braves remained in contention for a bye in the first round of the district tournament with two 5A Southern Idaho Conference victories last week. Pennington paced Boise in scoring both games, contributing 17 points and seven assists in a 71-50 win over Boise. He then had 19 points and four assists to beat Meridian 63-49.
Levi Austin, New Plymouth: The senior won the 113-pound title at the second annual Idaho Hall of Fame Classic at Meridian High, helping team Idaho Blue defeat Idaho Red 41-20. Austin, the reigning Rollie Lane champion at 113 who competes in the 2A classification, earned a 9-7 decision over Minico’s Eddie Daniel.
