Destiny Slocum, Mountain View: The Mavericks wrapped up their second consecutive 5A Southern Idaho Conference regular-season title with wins against Meridian (75-36) and Columbia (93-29) last week. Slocum, a senior guard, accounted for 58 points and 10 assists despite playing limited minutes in the second half of each game.


Nick Fitts, Melba: The Mustangs remained unbeaten in the 2A Western Idaho Conference by defeating McCall-Donnelly twice last week. Fitts, a junior guard, totaled 57 points in the two wins for an average of 28.5 points per game.


Max Miller, Rocky Mountain: The junior won the 138-pound title at the Red Halverson Invitational at Minico High over the weekend. Miller improved to 30-7 this season by defeating Jess Nielsen of Pocatello 12-2 in the championship match. Miller upset top-seeded Brian Borden of Minico in the semifinals.
