FOOTBALL

Jake Roper, Rocky Mountain: The Grizzlies won the first state championship in program history with a 41-22 win over previously unbeaten Mountain View. Roper, a senior, tied records for total rushing yards (308) and points (30) in a title game as the Grizzlies amassed 499 yards on the ground, which was also an 11-man record.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Kirsten Robinson, Boise: The Braves defeated defending 5A state champion Mountain View 68-63 in overtime after falling behind 19 points at the half. Robinson, a senior guard, led Boise with 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists. She shot 7-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range.
