Cody Ghighina, Skyview: After sitting out two games with a concussion, the senior running back returned to the field in dominating fashion. Ghighina ran for a single-game school record of 329 yards on 26 carries with six touchdowns in a 47-6 win over Gooding. He also caught one pass for 13 yards, ran in a two-point conversion and made two PATs.

Allie Thomas, Meridian: Although the Warriors are winless this season, the team captain and four-year starter maintains a positive attitude, helping her team take Meridian and Nampa to five-set matches last week. Against Nampa, Thomas had 17 assists, 12 digs, four tip kills, three aces and three pancake digs.
Lauren Bouvia, Weiser: The Wolverines improved to 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the 3A Snake River Valley last week. In a 9-0 victory over Emmett, Bouvia contributed an impressive eight goals and one assist.
Brennan Gazdik, Bishop Kelly: The Knights earned two wins in the 4A Southern Idaho Conference last week. In a 7-3 victory over Middleton, Gazdik scored three goals with two assists. The senior forward then added two goals to help the Knights defeat Kuna 4-1.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Eve Jensen, Boise: The freshman continues to impress in her first varsity season. She finished fourth at the Sundodger Invitational at Lincoln Park in Seattle in 17 minutes, 34.7 seconds. That time ranks No. 1 in Idaho this season, according to athletic.net. The Braves also took second as a team.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Jackson Brill, Boise: The senior ran a career-best time at the Sundodger Invitational at Lincoln Park in Seattle over the weekend. Brill took eighth overall in 15 minutes, 36.5 seconds, a time that ranks No. 1 in Idaho this season, according to athletic.net. The Braves finished fourth as a team.
