BOYS BASKETBALL

Max Rice, Bishop Kelly: The junior guard helped the Knights win their second straight 4A District Three Tournament championship with a 75-62 victory over Middleton. Rice, a junior guard, scored a game-high 30 points, shooting 8-for-12 from the floor and 5-for-7 from 3-point range. Rice also made 9-of-10 free throws.

WRESTLING

Sammy Eckhart, Fruitland: The senior wrapped up his high school career by winning a fourth consecutive individual title in the 3A state tournament. Eckhart, who was nursing an injured shoulder and knee, held off two-time champion Boone Giulio of American Falls 4-2 in the 138-pound title match. Eckhart becomes just the ninth wrestler in 3A history to win four titles. He is expected to sign with Boise State in April
