Nampa’s defense forced four turnovers and Cameron Forsberg recorded a safety as the Bulldogs improved to 3-1. Nampa running back Pedro King racked up 204 total yards and three TDs, and Kooper Wilcox completed 8-of-8 passes for 168 yards. Jerred Monnier led Vallivue with 74 rushing yards and a TD on 11 carries.

Kuna quarterback Ben Ruwe threw a pair of TDs to Matt McLean, including a 20-yarder that proved to be the game-winner with 10 seconds left in the third quarter. Ruwe also ran for a TD as the Kavemen rallied from a 13-0 deficit for its second straight win over a 5A opponent.

Canyon Ridge scored 28 unanswered points in the second half to hand Columbia its 19th straight loss.

Caldwell, a 4A school, hung 50 points on a 3A opponent for the second time this year in its final nonconference game of the season.

Jerome rolled to a homecoming victory to hand Mountain Home its 11th straight loss.

Grizzlies running back Kennon Smith broke off touchdown runs of 62 and 60 yards to lead 3A Fruitland to its second win of the season over a 4A opponent.
HOMEDALE 72, MARSING 0
The Trojans’ defense limited Marsing to a single first down and minus-40 yards of offense in the rout. Homedale senior Lawsen Matteson completed 15-of-23 passes for 228 yards and six TDs, five of them to different receivers. Josh Tolmie added 93 yards on 11 carries.
WEISER 6, ONTARIO (ORE.) 0
Weiser snapped a seven-game losing streak with its third straight win over Ontario. Weiser posted a shutout after allowing 99 points in its first two games. Matt Pritchard hit Alberto Sanchez for 31-yard TD pass for the game’s only score.

Salmon River QB Tucker Boyd ran for three TDs, and running back Devin Buys added another two scores on the ground in the conference opener for both teams.
