The city’s oldest high school rivalry kicks off at 7 p.m. Thursday at Dona Larsen Park with Boise searching for its first 3-1 start to the season since 2008.

Junior quarterback Will McMullin has led the 5A SIC’s top-scoring offense through three weeks (37.3 ppg), throwing 11 touchdowns for the Braves. Borah (1-2) struggled offensively the first two weeks before Justin Palmer and Kegan Lester each ran for a pair of touchdowns in a 30-0 win at Columbia last week.

The two teams split their last four meetings, with Boise winning 45-44 in overtime last year when it blocked the Lions’ tying extra point.
