Centennial senior forward Dominique Williams has verbally committed to the Weber State women’s basketball program.
The 5-foot-10 Williams chose a full-ride from Weber State over offers from fellow Division I programs Idaho and Seattle. She said the Wildcats recruited her as a guard/forward.
“I just love the program, love the coaching and I like the environment,” Williams said. “Plus, purple is my favorite color. So it’s all a win-win.”
Williams averaged 11.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists last winter, helping Centennial win the 5A District Three championship and the consolation trophy at the state tournament.

Williams said committing in August before the NCAA’s early signing period starts Nov. 11 allows her to turn her focus away from her college future and to her senior season at Centennial.
“Now I can focus on getting a state championship this year,” she said.
