The FC Nova Nationals U-19 girls team played to a 0-0 draw Wednesday for the second straight day at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, tying with Tampa Bay United Premier.
The draw places the combined team of players from Meridian’s FC Nova and the Boise Nationals in second place in their four-team group with two points. Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh’s Beadling SC Thunder both trail with one point each. The top two teams advance to the finals Saturday.
A win vs. Gretna Prime of Nebraska, which has already clinched a spot in the finals, at 12:30 p.m. Thursday guarantees the Nova Nationals a berth in the championship match.
