5A: Eagle, Meridian into semifinals

The Mustangs rolled to two wins Friday on the first day at Post Falls High, dispatching Coeur d’Alene 6-5 and Highland 20-5. Eagle (28-1) will face District Three opponent Meridian (19-10) in the semifnals Saturday. The Warriors defeated Idaho Falls 5-2 and Mountain View 6-1. Mountain View was later eliminated with a 10-0 loss to Coeur d’Alene.

4A: Bishop Kelly, Kuna still alive

The Knights (20-8) face Pocatello (17-11) in the first semifinal Saturday at Ramsey Park in Coeur d’Alene after defeating Rigby 9-8 and Canyon Ridge 4-2.Middleton was sent home after winning its opener 11-0 over Lakeland and then losing back-to-back games to Pocatello and Kuna. Kuna (22-9) faces Canyon Ridge for fourth place.

3A: Homedale, Emmett in hunt for title

The Trojans take on District Three foe Emmett in a semifinal Saturday at Ramsey Park in Coeur d’Alene. Both Valley teams went undefeated on the first day.

2A: New Plymouth perfect on first day

The Pilgrims topped Firth and Orofino to advance to a semifinal against Wendell at Orofino High.

1A: Horseshoe Bend in loser-out semifinal

The Mustangs play Culdesac on Saturday for a right to face unbeaten Genesee for the title.
