CALDWELL — The College of Idaho opens its second season since disbanding in 1977 at 1 p.m. at Simplot Stadium when it hosts No. 13 Eastern Oregon.
The Yotes return 20 starters from a 4-7 campaign, and the program filled mostly with sophomores and juniors didn’t lose a player to graduation.
Senior QB Teejay Gordon returns after leading the run-heavy offense last year, but coach Mike Moroski said he wants to balance the offense this season.
Eastern Oregon topped the Yotes twice last season — 47-7 in La Grande, Ore., and 45-21 in Caldwell.
