Boise State defensive end Kamalei Correa and wide receiver Thomas Sperbeck landed in select company Tuesday as media outlets continue to single out the best performances of 2015.

Correa was named to the Associated Press All-Bowl team. He was listed as a linebacker, perhaps because that’s what he likely will become in the NFL. Correa recorded two sacks and a forced fumble in the Poinsettia Bowl against Northern Illinois to help the Broncos limit the Huskies to 33 yards. The junior signed with an agent the next day, declaring his intention to leave early for the NFL.

Sperbeck has reached the final of Yahoo! Sports’ Catch of the Year contest. The No. 2 seed, Sperbeck has progressed through two rounds of fan voting. He grabbed an early lead over Stanford’s Francis Owusu in the final.

Sperbeck’s catch against Wyoming involved tipping the ball to himself with his outstretched right hand, grabbing the deflection one-handed, sticking one foot in bounds, dragging the second foot in bounds and controlling the ball to the turf.

You can watch both catches below.
