Reports: Kellen Moore will be Cowboys’ backup QB — but perhaps for just one week

Former Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore will be promoted to the Dallas Cowboys’ active roster and serve as the backup quarterback this week, according to media reports. Brandon Weeden will start.

But the Cowboys also traded for veteran Bills backup Matt Cassel on Tuesday. The plan is for Cassel to become the backup once he gets up to speed.
