Former Boise State defensive back Orlando Scandrick sometimes says Los Alamitos High as the school he’s from on nationally-televised games when most cite their college.

That has rankled a few Bronco fans, though he does say “Boise State” on occasion, too. This week, the Dallas Cowboys cornerback showed even more love for his high school, located near Long Beach, Calif.

Scandrick gave $15,000 for new uniforms and helmets for the Griffins, with their new red matte alternates featuring the logo of his 32Cares Foundation.

Entering his 10th NFL season, Scandrick had an interception and forced three fumbles last year in 10 starts. He’s performed well in training camp, prompting veteran receiver Dez Bryant to say “Scandrick is gonna have a big year this year.”
