As the Sept. 2 season opener quickly approaches, the east side of Albertsons Stadium began to get a new look Monday.
The first of four player banners went up in the afternoon — senior wide receiver Cedrick Wilson. He will soon be joined by three other Boise State seniors: center Mason Hampton, linebacker Gabe Perez and tight end Jake Roh.
Hampton is a former walk-on from Meridian High who has developed into a key cog of the offense. He started 11 games last season and earned All-Mountain West honorable mention.
According to Boise State, “Each student-athlete will be featured with one of four cornerstone principles of the Boise State football program: Discipline (Wilson), Toughness (Roh), Passion (Perez) and Blue Collar (Hampton).” The quartet sports the team’s new-look uniforms in each.
