A pair of Boise State’s key big men up front both appeared on the watchlist for the same national award Thursday.

Junior defensive lineman David Moa and senior offensive tackle Archie Lewis were among the 81 players to appear on the Outland Trophy watchlist for the award given to the nation’s top interior lineman on either side of the ball.

Moa also was named to the 103-man watchlist, one of 19 tackles, for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, which honors the nation’s top defensive player. He also is on the watchlist for the Bednarik Award (top defensive player). Moa led the team with 8.5 sacks last season.

Lewis has 26 starts under his belt, including all 13 games last season. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder is expected to again protect Brett Rypien’s blindside at left tackle.
