Boise State picked up a verbal commitment from 6-foot-3, 315-pound offensive lineman Sean Seawards on Sunday.

Boise State football coach Bryan Harsin tweeted Sunday morning, “BIG get for the Broncos.”

He wasn’t kidding.

Sean Seawards, a 6-foot-3, 315-pound offensive lineman from Saguaro High in Scottsdale, Ariz., committed to Boise State while on his official visit.

Seawards also had offers from Air Force, Army, Navy and New Mexico. After moving from Missouri before his sophomore year of high school, Seawards played two years at Boulder Creek High in Anthem, Ariz., before transferring last April to Saguaro. The Sabercats went 14-0 and won the state championship. This was Seawards’ first season playing on the offensive line.

“He is still very new to the position and I think he has a very high ceiling for growth. I think Boise got a steal,” Saguaro coach Jason Mohns told the Arizona Republic.

The Broncos’ first commit of the 2017 class, back in May, was another big Arizona offensive lineman, Queen Creek’s Mike Young (6-6, 335). California linebacker Anthony Pandy, also on his official visit, tweeted a photo of the Broncos’ visitors with Harsin. Seawards is on the far left, next to running back Drake Beasley, who committed Saturday.
