The Broncos’ 2019 game at Florida State is on the move. Boise State Athletic Director Curt Apsey confirmed a report by Jacksonville television station WTLV that the game will shift from Tallahassee to Jacksonville.
That game will be played at EverBank Field, the home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. The date of the game is also changing, from Sept. 7 to Aug. 31.
“For us, and our schedule, that actually worked out well because we now have an open date after that game. ... And (the players) get a chance to play in a pro stadium, which is a great experience for them,’’ Apsey said on KTIK.
Boise State and Florida State announced the series in 2013. The Seminoles are still expected to play at Albertsons Stadium in Boise in 2020, Apsey said.
