Boise State women’s basketball sets record for 3-pointers in win

The Broncos made a program-record 18 3-pointers in a 94-76 women’s basketball victory over Portland State on Wednesday night at Taco Bell Arena. Senior Brooke Pahukoa hit seven 3s — one shy of her career high — to finish with 25 points, and sophomore Marta Hermida hit six treys to finish with a career-high 22 points as the Broncos (2-0) went 18-for-30 from behind the arc. Pahukoa moved into fourth place on Boise State’s all-time 3-pointers made list with 154. Six different Broncos hit a 3-pointer Wednesday night, with freshman Braydey Hodgins knocking down both of her attempts.

IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Vandals fell to Northern Illinois 63-49 in Dekalb, Ill. Brayon Blake had a game-high 17 points and nine rebounds for Idaho (1-1).

IDAHO STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Bengals lost to Utah Valley 82-73 in Orem, Utah. Ethan Telfair scored 25 points to lead ISU (0-2).
