Sierra Nobley and Sarah Baugh won the No. 2 pairs match to improve to 3-0 on the weekend and clinch the Broncos’ 3-2 victory over Stanford on Sunday at Delta Park. The No. 4 duo of Kaitlyn Oliver and Maddi Osburn (Vallivue High), as well as the fifth pairing of Laney Hayes and Jaymee-Lee Bulda, also were unbeaten for Boise State (3-0), which is one win shy of tying the program record in its third season. The Broncos visit Stanford on April 9-10, when they’ll also face Saint Mary’s, Arizona State and California.
BSU MEN’S TENNIS: The No. 69 Broncos (13-8, 2-1 Mountain West) beat No. 70 New Mexico 4-1 in Albuquerque. Brian Foley won his doubles match with Abe Hewko and took the No. 1 singles match in straight sets. The top pair of Toby Mitchell and Kyle Butters also won in both events.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO BASEBALL: The Yotes (27-10, 15-5 NAIA West) split a doubleheader with Corban in Caldwell, losing 3-2 and winning 6-3. The C of I is 1 1/2 games behind No. 2 Lewis-Clark State for the North Division lead entering next weekend’s four-game series in Lewiston.
