Sierra Nobley had 10 kills and nine digs, and the Broncos (3-3) beat Northwestern 25-12, 25-21, 25-23 in the final match of the Boise State Invitational.
“I am really excited that we had the opportunity to play a Big Ten team here in Boise in front of our fans,” coach Shawn Garus said. “I think everyone saw from the warm ups on that they were a big physical team and it was going to be a good match-up. I give our players a lot of credit for coming out with great intensity and sustaining it throughout the whole match to get the big win.”
Kaitlyn Oliver and Maddy O’Donnell added eight kills apiece, and Oliver had six blocks in the Broncos’ final home match of September.
IDAHO STATE VOLLEYBALL: The Bengals (5-2) swept Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 25-22, 27-25, 25-15 at the Boise State Invitational. Tressa Lyman led ISU with 16 kills.
