The Broncos won their second match of the Boise State Invitational, beating the Islanders 25-20, 26-24, 25-17 on Friday at Bronco Gym. Sierra Nobley had 13 kills for Boise State (2-3), which takes on Northwestern at 5 p.m. Saturday.
BSU/IDAHO SOCCER: The Broncos earned their first win of the season by defeating Idaho 1-0 at Boas Tennis and Soccer Complex. Michelle Reed scored her second goal of the year for Boise State (1-3).
IDAHO STATE VOLLEYBALL: The Bengals swept Northwestern 25-23, 25-22, 25-22 at Bronco Gym. Idaho State plays Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes (3-7, 1-1 Cascade) defeated Walla Walla 25-15, 25-15, 25-10 in Caldwell.

C OF I WOMEN’S SOCCER: The Coyotes (4-0) are off to their best start in the program’s 27-year history with a 3-1 victory over Trinity Lutheran at McMinnville, Ore. Erika Thompson (Centennial High) recorded a hat trick for the College of Idaho.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders began the year with two losses at the Oredigger Volleyball Classic in Denver. Northwest Nazarene fell to Cal State San Bernardino 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 15-21, 15-5, before losing to the Colorado School of Mines 22-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 16-14.
NNU MEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders won their season opener 1-0 over Hawaii-Hilo at Waipahu, Hawaii. Alex Mitrovic scored for Northwest Nazarene.
NNU WOMEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders opened their season with a 3-2 overtime loss to Regis in Nampa. Alexa Lonsdale and Sid Otto scored for Northwest Nazarene.
