Idaho colleges roundup: Wyoming edges Boise State soccer

The Cowgirls scored off a deflected Bronco clearance in the 52nd minute en route to a 1-0 victory Friday in Mountain West play. Boise State goalie Janelle Flores returned from injury and a five-match absence to make six saves. BSU (6-9-3, 4-5-0 MW) has two matches remaining in the regular season as it continue to vie for one of the six spots in the Mountain West Tournament

BSU MEN’S TENNIS: The doubles team of Thomas Tenreiro and Lewis Roskilly reached the USTA/ITA Mountain regional semifinals with an 8-6 winover BYU’s Keaton Cullimore and John Pearce. They are the lone Broncos remaining in title contention in Albuquerque, N.M.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S SOCCER: The Coyotes beat Evergreen State 3-1 in Olympia, Wash. Bailey Watson (Centennial High), Megan Aumeier and Mallory Cripps (Borah High) all scored for the C of I (12-2-0, 8-1-0 Cascade), which won its sixth straight.

C OF I MEN’S SOCCER: Evergreen State scored on a penalty kick in the 77th minute to defeat the C of I 2-1 in Olympia, Wash. Mehmed Selimovic (Mountain VIew High) scored his seventh goal of the season for the Coyotes (7-5-0, 6-5-0 CCC).

C OF I VOLLEYBALL: Kylie Porter (Capital High) and Katy Robinson had 11 kills apiece, and the Coyotes recorded 16.5 team blocks in a 25-14, 25-18, 23-25, 25-15 win over Warner Pacific in Caldwell. The C of I (15-9, 13-3 CCC) clinched a conference tournament berth with the win.
