Ty Travis (Eagle High) shot a 1-over 72 in the final round to finish tied for 15th, and the Broncos collectively finished 20-over par at the conference tournament Sunday. Shane Allor added a 24th-place finish at 5-over 218, four shots behind Travis. San Diego State won the team title at 17-under, and UNLV’s Kurt Kitayama was the medalist at 11-under 202.
BSU SOFTBALL: New Mexico scored 10 runs in the fourth inning, and the host Lobos routed the Broncos 11-3 in five innings in Albuquerque. Sara Ketelsleger homered in the top of the fourth to give BSU (12-39, 4-17 Mountain West) a 3-0 lead. The Broncos finish their season at home with a three-game series against Utah State starting Thursday.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO BASEBALL: The fifth-seeded Coyotes (33-26) were eliminated from the NAIA West Tournament with a 7-1 loss to Corban in Portland. The C of I scored its lone run on a Jake Hennessey bloop single in the third inning.
BSU WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD: Emma Bates broke her school record in the 10,000 meters at the Payton Jordan Invitational on Saturday in Stanford, Calif., finishing 17th in 32 minutes, 12.28 seconds.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE BASEBALL: The Crusaders (27-26, 15-17) clinched a GNAC Tournament berth after splitting with Western Oregon on Saturday. NNU won the opener 8-7 in 12 innings and lost the nightcap 7-6. NNU is the No. 3 seed for the three-team tournament starting Thursday at Montana State Billings.
