Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State softball snaps 16-game losing streak

Izzy Serrano hit a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Broncos a 5-4 victory over Nevada at Dona Larsen Park on Friday. Boise State (9-31, 1-9 Mountain West) hosts Nevada again at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

BSU MEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos (10-14, 3-2 Mountain West) held off Nevada 4-3 in Reno. Garrett Patton, Toby Mitchell and Lewis Roskilly won for Boise State.

BSU TRACK AND FIELD: Karyna Armstrong took fourth in the women’s open hammer (179 feet, 6 inches) at the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO SOFTBALL: The Coyotes (16-26, 7-13 Cascade) lost to Concordia 6-5 in Portland.
