The Idaho Steelheads announced Thursday they agreed to terms with defenseman Zach Bell, whom the ECHL hockey franchise acquired via trade in February.
Bell, 23, played 49 ECHL games with Orlando and Idaho in 2015-16 with three goals, eight assists and 107 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder also had 14 penalty minutes and a plus-1 rating in seven playoff games.
In 91 pro games, Bell has six goals, 13 assists, a plus-2 rating and 209 penalty minutes.
The Steelheads open their season Oct. 14 at Utah.
