Idaho Senior Softball Association: Taking reservations for its men’s wooden bat league. Anyone born before 1957 (60 and over) is eligible; no one will be turned away. All skill levels welcome. Play in the Monday night or Wednesday night league or both. League play begins April 18. Cost is $40 per league. Tuesday morning league is $20. Deadline for signups is March 25. St. Patrick’s Day Run/Walk: 9:30 a.m. March 12 at Julia Davis Park. Options are a 5-mile, 5K and 1-mile kid run. Fundraiser for YMCA Team Idaho Cross Country and Track Programs. Awards given to the best dressed leprechaun or green runner. Cost is $28 with and $22 without a shirt for the 5K/5-mile, and $20 for the 1-mile. Onward Shay! Boise Half and Full Marathon: 7 a.m. Oct. 30 at Payette Brewing Company. Held in honor of Shay Hirsch, wife of George Hirsch.
