Guard Phil Pressey, who joined the Stampede training camp roster Tuesday after being waived by the Utah Jazz on Oct. 26, signed with Philadelphia to become the first NBA Development League call-up of the season.

Pressey (5-11, 175, Missouri) played in Wednesday’s 91-87 loss at Milwaukee, getting one defensive rebound and one assist in 2:32.

The 24-year-old guard appeared in 125 career NBA games (11 starts) over two previous seasons with the Boston Celtics, averaging 3.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

He is the son of former NBA player and current Los Angeles Lakers coach Paul Pressey.

The Stampede open their season Nov. 13-14 at Rio Grande Valley and play their home opener Nov. 18 against Iowa at CenturyLink Arena.
