The video posted of Coach Pete greeting his former players and coaches after the Boise State game last Saturday night shows what a class act Coach Petersen truly is.
The affection shown toward him, and by him, was genuine and is the true legacy of his contribution to BSU football. As has been said by many, he cares about the young men who play the game, not necessarily just the win/loss column.
We were lucky to have him for the time we did. While I’ll still root for the Broncos, Coach Pete, you deserve whatever success comes your way. Great game ... well played ... congratulations.

The Vandals’ dilemma isn’t just about football anymore. It’s about the lack of leadership at the University of Idaho.
How long must we bleed until someone with courage casts their ego aside and leads us out of the darkness? As a Vandal, I hope that the Sun Belt Conference shows us the door so we will have to go back to the Big Sky. Maybe in five years, we could compete there.
If we are going to get rubbed out every weekend, we might as well let the local boys do it instead of having to cross the continent to get it done. Please, someone stop the bleeding. This is more than embarrassing.
