The Hawks have turned into a streaky team as they begin their final homestand. On its just-completed 11-game road trip, Boise won five straight games, then lost two straight to finish the trip 8-3.
More importantly, the team with the worst record in the Northwest League remains mathematically alive for a postseason berth.
The Hawks (28-42 overall in NWL South, 14-18 second half) are five games behind first-place Eugene (19-13 second half) with six games remaining. Boise hosts Hillsboro (18-14 second half) for three games starting Tuesday night, and Salem-Keizer (16-16) for its final three games.
All games start at 6:45 p.m., except for Friday (7:15 p.m.).
