The Hops scored on a Luis Castro error — his second of the night — to take a 2-1 victory over the Boise Hawks on Saturday and sweep the three-game series. Boise (17-31, 3-7 NWL second half) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a Brian Mundell sacrifice fly. Hillsboro evened the score in the fourth. The Hawks stole three bases and extended their league-leading total to 117. Kevin Padlo stole his 25th base and passed teammate Carlos Herrera for second best in the league. The Hawks return home for a three-game series with the Eugene Emeralds beginning at 7:15 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Stadium.
