The Boise Hawks lost for the 11th time in their past 14 games with a 3-2 defeat Sunday at the hands of the Everett AquaSox at Memorial Stadium.
Everett (16-9) grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning and the Hawks could never recapture the lead, even after a 1 hour, 15-minute rain delay in the middle of the second inning.
Left fielder Steven Leonard went 2-for-3 for Boise (8-17), and second baseman Wesley Jones finished 2-for-4.
Starting pitcher Javier Palacios, Boise’s strongest starter this season, took the loss after giving up a pair of first-inning triples.
