Boise State men's basketball center Kevin Allen is leaving the Broncos, and will transfer to Emporia State in Kansas.
Allen played in 21 games last season as a junior for Boise State, averaging 3.5 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He played only 26 minutes in eight games after the Broncos' Dec. 31 Mountain West opener. Allen transferred to Boise State from Pratt (Kan.) Community College last summer.
His head coach at Division II Emporia State has ties to the Broncos. Shaun Vandiver is entering his fifth season with the Hornets, a job he took after spending the 2010-11 season as a Boise State assistant under Leon Rice.
With Allen's departure, the Broncos will have four scholarship seniors in 2015-16.
