Emeralds use late rally to beat Boise Hawks

Boise lost to Eugene 8-3 on Wednesday, despite holding a 3-0 lead after five innings. The Emeralds (2-5) scored two runs in the sixth and six in the seventh to pull away for the victory. Tyler Matzek earned the loss for the Hawks (3-4) after walking five batters and giving up six earned runs in 1/3 of an inning. Boise concludes its three-game series at Eugene at 8:05 p.m. Thursday.
