Idaho athletes set to compete in NCAA track and field regionals

The 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships run Thursday through Saturday. The East preliminary will be held at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla., and the West preliminary is at the University of Texas’ Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. The top 12 in each event advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore.

BOISE STATE:

Jordin Andrade (men’s 400 hurdles), David Elliott (men’s 1,500), Fernando Martinez (men’s 400 hurdles), Alexandru Terpezan (men’s 200), Michael Vennard (men’s 5,000), Karyna Armstrong (women’s hammer), Emma Bates (women’s 5,000 & 10,000), Mackenzie Flannigan (women’s 100 & 200), Marisa Howard (women’s 3,000 steeplechase), Allison Jeffries (Eagle High, women’s pole vault), Tessa Murray (women’s 5,000) and Jordan Ward (Lakeland High, women’s high jump).

IDAHO:

Alycia Butterworth (women’s 3,000 steeplechase) and Holly Stanton (women’s 3,000 steeplechase).

IDAHO STATE:

Logan Henderson (Pocatello High, men’s 400 hurdles), Caitlin Maulin (Boise High, women’s pole vault), Katie Nicholls (Centennial High, women’s 1,500) and Hayli Worthington (Minico High, women’s 400 hurdles).

OTHERS WITH VALLEY TIES:

Louisville’s Brittany Owens (Borah High, women’s triple jump), Oregon State’s Sam McKinnon (Mountain View High, women’s 3,000 steeplechase), San Jose State’s Cambree Harbaugh (Mountain View High, women’s long jump) and San Francisco’s Kate Jamboretz (Boise High, women’s 1,500 & 5,000).
