Travis Lindstrom, the owner of Boise Disc Golf in Ann Morrison Park, is a professional disc golfer. He recently finished third in the Idaho Masters. He demonstrates the two most common ways to throw a disc or Frisbee – the forehand and backhand.
Disc golf has become a popular sport in the Treasure Valley. Area courses include those in Ann Morrison Park (20 holes, about to become 21), Kuna Green Belt (12, will be 18), Bear Creek Park in Meridian (9, winter), Meridian Technical Charter High (9), Lydle Gulch near Lucky Peak Dam (two 20s), Bogus Basin (two 18s), Eagle Island (18), Settlers Park in Meridian (9, winter), Osborne Park in Nampa (9) and West Park in Nampa (9).
