College of Idaho football ends spring with Purple and Gold scrimmage

The College of Idaho concluded its spring practice schedule with the Purple and Gold Game at Simplot Stadium on Saturday.

The offense put up 405 total yards and three touchdowns, while the defense recorded three interceptions and returned one for a touchdown.

All three Coyote quarterbacks threw a touchdown pass, led by A.J. Martin with 82 passing yards. Tyler Cox threw for 77 yards and led the team with 60 rushing yards for another touchdown. Terrence Young had 78 receiving yards, and Marcus Lenhardt added 55 yards.

Jason Byce led the defense with nine tackles, and Dakota Horsewood and Trevor Smith each had eight.
