The Idaho State offense scored six touchdowns and the defense forced three turnovers at the Dave Kragthorpe Classic on Saturday. Quarterback Tanner Gueller threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns, while James Delacenserie added 147 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
“They got better, but they have a hundred miles to go,” Idaho State coach Mike Kramer said. “I know we have 29 more practices before we play a game, and our quarterbacks are going to need every rep.”
Running back Jakori Ford rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns, and wide receiver Broc Malcom had 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Malcom was named the Most Improved Offensive Player for the spring.
Hayden Stout and Jeremiah Hazard each had seven tackles, and Tyler Kuder had five tackles, two sacks and three pass deflections. Kyle Leblanc and Micah Breland each had an interception, and James Madison recovered a fumble.
