Idaho college sports roundup: College of Idaho baseball drops series finale with No. 13 Lewis-Clark State

Nick Sagendorf threw eight innings and allowed four hits, allowing No. 13 Lewis-Clark State to beat the College of Idaho 5-1 and square a four-game NAIA West baseball series at Harris Field. Jake Hennessey (Mountain Home High) reached on an error and scored after back-to-back singles by Chase Miller (Mountain View High) and Jordan Grubbs to give the Coyotes (25-15, 9-7) a 1-0 lead in the third inning. C of I’s Cole Mansanerez had his 34-game streak of reaching base snapped.

BSU MEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos (9-14, 2-2 Mountain West) shut out Lewis-Clark State and Air Force 7-0 at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. Garrett Patton (Boise High), Thomas Tenreiro, Toby Mitchell, Brian Foley, Abe Hewko and Lewis Roskilly went 2-0 in singles matches, and Boise State dropped just one doubles match on the day.

BSU WOMEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos (8-11, 2-3 MW) lost to No. 49 New Mexico 5-2 in Albuquerque. Boise State won the doubles point, and Teal Vosburgh won the No. 1 singles match.

BSU SAND VOLLEYBALL: The Broncos (3-8) lost to No. 13 Pacific 4-1 and to Sacramento State 3-2 in Sacramento, Calif. Laney Hayes and Taylor Murphey were 2-0 in the No. 4 spot for Boise State.
