College of Idaho baseball to dedicate Wolfe Field on Friday

The College of Idaho will host a ceremony for its Wolfe Field Baseball Stadium at 2:50 p.m. before the Coyotes’ 3 p.m. game against Lewis-Clark State. C of I President Marv Henberg, Caldwell Mayor Garret Nancolas and C of I trustee and donor Graye Wolfe will dedicate the stadium and throw out first pitches. Wolfe Field, on Linden Street north of Cleveland Boulevard, now features more than 1,000 newly installed, individual chair-backed seats. The $375,000 seating addition is the second phase of the stadium project, after initial construction began last fall. The entire project is a $2.4 million cooperative undertaking between the College of Idaho and the City of Caldwell. The facility is home to the C of I baseball team as well as the Silverstreaks and Bobcats, Caldwell’s two American Legion baseball squads.
